LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) – Uncle Mo isn’t running in Saturday’s Kentucky Derby.

Owner Mike Repole says the colt has been scratched because he hasn’t recovered enough from a stomach ailment to run in the 1 1/4-mile race. Uncle Mo was the 9-2 second choice on the morning line.

That reduces the field for the 137th Derby to 19 horses. Dialed In is the 4-1 early favorite.

Repole made the announcement Friday morning, about 40 minutes before Derby wagering opened. In 2009, Derby favorite I Want Revenge was scratched on the morning of the race with a career-ending leg injury.
